Rose Hull is Thirzie’s older sister. Having always loved making things with fabric, from the construction of neat little lavender bags as a child to the avocado dyed roman blinds she recently made for her own home. Rose’s interest in textiles stems partly from her grandfather’s company Hull Traders, which operated in London in the bohemian days of the late 1950s through to the 1970s. 

She takes great pleasure in precision and the manipulation of fabrics, with every stitch and fold as important as the next and having its place in the whole. “When I makes curtains, I feel as if I’m sculpting – turning flat lengths of fabric into a full bodied piece, with shape and movement, that perfectly fits the window and complements the room it will live in” Rose made the curtains in our studio and we are proud to offer cushions made in the exact same materials and unique colourways as these.
